Reconnecting Environment and Health in Africa and Beyond
Who We Are
ACOPPHE (Africa Community of Planetary Partners for Health and Environment) is a Kenyan-based non-governmental organization working at the intersection of health, environment, and indigenous knowledge.
Founded in January 2021 and officially registered in April 2024, we are committed to reconnecting environment and health in Africa and beyond through education, advocacy, partnerships, and community-driven innovation. Our approach recognizes that human wellbeing is deeply linked to the health of ecosystems and cultural heritage.
To reconnect environment and health in Africa and beyond through education, advocacy, partnerships, and community-led solutions.
A healthy and sustainable Africa for all, where people, communities, and nature thrive together.
What We Host

Our Work

ACOPPHE operates in Marsabit, Narok, Kiambu, Nairobi, and Kakamega Counties, with a focus on arid and semi-arid lands (ASALs) most affected by climate change.
Our main office is located in Tigoni, Limuru, Kiambu County, near St. Paul’s University.
Message from the Director
At ACOPPHE, we are guided by a simple but powerful belief — that the health of people, the environment, and our cultural heritage are inseparable. Across Africa, communities are facing interconnected challenges that require solutions rooted in both knowledge and collective action.
Our work is inspired by the resilience and wisdom of communities. Through partnerships, education, and advocacy, we strive to create lasting impact by empowering people, protecting ecosystems, and preserving indigenous knowledge systems that have sustained generations.
As Founder and Director, I believe that meaningful change begins when we listen, collaborate, and act together. ACOPPHE exists to bridge gaps — between science and tradition, policy and practice, and people and the environment — so that we can build a healthier, more sustainable future for all.
