Why Partner With Us

A Partner Rooted in Community,
Driven by Purpose

ACOPPHE works at the intersection of planetary health, indigenous knowledge, and community-led development across Kenya and Africa. Partnering with us means connecting your mission to real people, real places, and lasting impact.

Community-Embedded Presence

We operate from within communities — not above them. Our grassroots networks span Kiambu County and beyond, giving partners direct access to the people and ecosystems that matter most.

Evidence-Based, Locally Led

Our programs are grounded in rigorous research, traditional ecological knowledge, and participatory methodologies — ensuring interventions that are both credible and culturally resonant.

Cross-Sector Networks

From health and environment to culture and policy, ACOPPHE bridges disciplines and sectors — offering partners a unique entry point into Africa's One Health movement.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Any organisation — academic, corporate, governmental, community-based, or media — that shares ACOPPHE's commitment to planetary health, indigenous knowledge, and community-led development in Africa is welcome to apply. There is no minimum size requirement.

Not necessarily. While funding partnerships are welcome, many of our collaborations are non-financial — built on shared expertise, networks, or in-kind contributions. We tailor each partnership to what both parties can realistically contribute.

Absolutely. We actively welcome international partners and have structures for remote collaboration including virtual convenings, shared digital workspaces, and remote research participation. In-person visits to our field sites can also be arranged.

We use a participatory monitoring and evaluation framework co-designed with partners at the start of each collaboration. Partners receive regular progress updates, field reports, and a formal annual impact summary documenting shared outcomes.

Partnership duration varies. Some collaborations are project-specific (6–12 months), while others are long-term institutional relationships spanning several years. We discuss this during the exploratory call and formalise it in the MOU.
